The Hotel da Oliveira is a sophisticated 4stars hotel, surrounded by History, offering a personalized quality service, and where all guests will be welcomed in a refined atmosphere, with the typical intimacy of a private house.
The Hotel presents a concept developed around the topic “Feel Guimarães”, following the recent dynamics connected to Guimarães 2012, European Capital of Culture.
The main goal is to promote the city, using the information given and felt by the guest at the Hotel. The city of D. Afonso Henriques, the first king of Portugal, was the inspiration for the concept “one room, one story”.
Thus, each of the 20 rooms will have a light box with an artistic creation about the main events, activities and personalities associated to the local History, Culture, Industry and Religion.
The purpose is to organize itineraries inspired by the experience and the direct contact with the topic of each room, inviting the guest to find more about it and this way giving more meaning to the whole stay.
